DC is obsessed with Cupcakes

There are about 5 cupcakes shops within walking distance from my office, and yet when Sprinkles opened their doors in the area earlier this year, folks in DC were acting as though they have never had a cupcake before in their life. There were lines out the door for them.

I had to see what this place was all about and I got the chance about a week ago. I must say they are DAMN GOOD!! I think my favorite cupcake shop we got!

Just what we needed...

Just like every working mommy, I feel like I don't get to spend enough time with my little guy!
I had a comp day at work and took it yesterday, then I convinced my husband to take the day off as well and we decided to take the little guy to the zoo! Weather was perfect! but I didn't take any pics of the animals, only my little munchkin lol. (All pics taken on android phone)

After the zoo, we headed over to 2amys for lunch! it was delicious. Then we went home and thought we would crash but the little guy had an extra burst of energy lol.

It was a great day!!

I love the blogesphere!! I love reading mommy & design blogs for inspiration, motivation and advice and it's also a great place to vent and document what's going on in my world.
Since I have learned so much from a lot of you bloggers, I'd like to be more engaged in this community. I'd like to introduce some of my readers to you and maybe you can introduce some of your readers to me.

One Week to a Better Me!

One of my new favorite blogs is Sometimes Sweet! she is just the cutest little thing and is a also a new mom, so I can relate to a lot of what she writes about. This week she wrote 5 goals to work on this week that will help to better herself, and invited her readers to do the same. Here are mine, feel free to join in!


Nutrition: this week I am focusing on drinking more water and cutting down on my soda intake!

Exercise: Start with walking at least 3x's this week. I gotta look good for my 30th birthday this summer!!!

Relationships: I hate being away from aaron all day during the work week, I have a comp day that I will use this week to have a mommy/son day!
I will so force myself to wake up before my husband leaves to work at least one day this week to hug & kiss him goodbye.

Creativity: This week I am going to start some of the DIY crafts for aaron's birthday party, this will help knock some things out of the way so that everything won't be last minute. I am a procrastinator, so if I can knock something out of the way this week, that will be a HUGE accomplishment!

Me-time: I am going to enjoy a nice LONG bath!! baths are rare these days!!! Can't wait!!!
