There are about 5 cupcakes shops within walking distance from my office, and yet when Sprinkles opened their doors in the area earlier this year, folks in DC were acting as though they have never had a cupcake before in their life. There were lines out the door for them.
I had to see what this place was all about and I got the chance about a week ago. I must say they are DAMN GOOD!! I think my favorite cupcake shop we got!

Lucky you! I've haven't been to Sprinkles yet, but I'm dying to go. My fav right now in DC is Baked & Wired. I have to see how close they are to Sprinkles
